Cosmic poetry podcast relaunched
Kingsville, ON, Canada, November 6, 2025
Reaffirming his commitment to the spoken voice as the future of literature, Cosmic Poet Simon Pole announced today the relaunch of his signature podcast, Cook & Crank: The Cosmic Poetry Podcast.
“Podcasting is a revolutionary platform that allows the human voice to reach people the planet over in real-time. It is only natural that Cosmic Poetry, with its emphasis on the ear, not the eye, find a place in the podcasting firmament,” Pole explained.
The Cook & Crank podcast showcases a different poem each week from the poet’s mammoth oeuvre. The poem is read in the poet’s own authentic, expressive voice, and a short commentary is provided for context and added enjoyment. Listeners will thrill to the unrestricted variety of subjects addressed by Pole’s wide-ranging mind.
Soft-launched six months ago on an experimental basis, the podcast has proved popular with poetry fans, leading to its official relaunch today.
“People are hungry for a reconnection with all that makes poetry and literature great. A podcast is the first place to start that journey down the road of what is possible,” Pole added.
Simon Pole is the author of six volumes of poetry, including the seven-poem epic cycle The Saga of Terminal City. He is a graduate of Harvard University, and a descendant of early Canadian poet Susie Drury. Pole is known for a brand of writing called Cosmic Poetry, which scales from the everyday to the spiritual heights beyond.
Cook & Crank: The Cosmic Poetry Podcast is available on most major platforms including Spotify and Apple Podcasts. Please consult your podcast directory for details.
