Cosmic Poet Simon Pole Expands to Audiobooks

Cosmic poet Simon Pole expands to audiobooks

Kingsville, ON, Canada, October 30, 2025

The poetry world rejoiced today as Cosmic Poet Simon Pole announced his foray into audiobooks.

“I’m pleased to finally introduce the spoken voice into what has become the unstoppable juggernaut of Cosmic Poetry,” Pole said, referring to a distinctive brand of poetry that scales from the everyday to the spiritual heights of the universe.

“Formerly the bards of yesteryear had only their voices to rely on, and yet produced epics like the Iliad and Beowulf which have become the inheritance of the entire world,” Pole added, invoking the grand tradition of spoken poetry that stretches back to time immemorial.

“In a world where the printed word is terminally swamped by electric media, our only hope to preserve cultural intelligence, is poetry, and that poetry must return to the ear, not the eye, if it wishes to compete,” Pole concluded, pointing the way forward to all serious artists who still wish to embody the stories of their epoch.

Audiobooks are spoken performances of written works that usually also appear in print and digital ebook forms.  They are listenable on any device that can play an audio file such as a mobile phone or computer.  Once used for increasingly obsolete genres like the novel, their repurposing for poetry promises to give us back the total and all-encompassing myth-world of the ancient bards.

Simon Pole’s first audiobook is Far Out is Doom: A Sacred Epic, an earth-spanning tale of the divine apocalypse and man’s rejuvenating role within.  Far Out is Doom will be available on all major audiobook platforms.
